It is estimated that 21.7% of Flagstaff residents live in poverty, or one out of every 4.6. Unfortunately, many of those living in poverty are children.

Acts of Kindness wanted to help this population and identified an opportunity to help children from low-income families. Acts of Kindness purchased warm winter coats for 36 children at Ponderosa Preschool that were either identified as homeless or living in transitional situations. Thanks to their bargain shopping skills, they were able to purchase a total of 98 coats, which were distributed to children at Ponderosa as well as other children in need throughout the community.
